... there are some commercial options too, if you don't know how to get rid of your money,: IBM has an offer: infosphere federation server (or how it might be named today). If you would decide to use ArdGate - its open source and enables standard SQL access to all JDBC capable databases - feel free to ask your questions. If you are in a hurry (or have special requirements), you could get paid service too.
