... this won't work as expected, as long as you are stuck to RLA. All I/O
to the tables will react the same as opening the tables with SHARE(*YES)!!!

I'm not sure that I understand your meaning, Dieter. You appear to be
suggesting that since the service program runs in the *caller activation
group, then they all share the same open data path. That could lead to
problems in that a call from one module could disrupt the state of a file
which is currently accessed by a different module in the same job.
