The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
At 7.1 you can run the following:
SNDPTFORD PTFID((SF99710) (SF99711))
to get the cume and all groups.
What most of this thread has been about is whether or not to use these
options:
DLVRYFMT(*IMAGE) REORDER(*YES)
So you could then do stuff like NFS which is comparable to mapping a drive
to another lpar and installing the images from that one system.
I've not used AJS but my general understanding of the concept is you can
tie a job to end the system to restricted state and then IPL to the
completion of the job doing the SNDPTFORD.
In the basic job scheduler you would just put it all into one CL program
