Well, there was some of that two. It was a fluster of three factors:

1. My general inexperience with RPG
2. The formatting of the examples ... yes, I was trying to trim off the
leading blanks, thinking freeform made them superfluous.
3. Confusion about which feature of RDi to use for which components,
physical file members vs IFS files.

As 'tis, I have generally got this all straight and have managed to compile
the Icecream example.

DDS and DSPF to the OFS, RPG to the IFS.

All is well.

Look at the PR. The name of the program needs to be MSGWINDOWR. My
mistake; I thought you were facing a situation where the code... the

RDI won't correctly Copy the error text it shows in the file as a result

the compile, so here is a screen shot:
