But if a power supply fails and it's the one on the UPS then the load on the wall outlet doubles. If that wasn't planned for then TRIP and down you go anyway. Also the same problem when the UPS Failes as the load swings to the wall outlet.

Likewise if the power supply fails that's on the wall outlet. The load on the UPS now doubles. Again if not planned for TRIP and down you go.

You may be figuring out that this is not my favorite configuration. :-)
