The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

1) PDI = Performance Data Investigator:
http://your_server_ip:2001
(requires some PTFs for HTTP and Performance Tools). It's a browser
based performance tool with some interesting information like "what is
hammering my system?" You'll need at least V6R1, desirable V7R2.
Try here

2) If you haven't changed anything from OS installation on Shared Pools
I can guess you are using *BASE. You can check doing this:
* WRKSBS -> QUSRWRK -> Option 5 -> Prestart Jobs -> On QZDASOINIT try
with 5 -> Go back with F12 -> Option 2 -> Compare the Pool ID with the
one on Prestart Jobs.
Ideal: You need to move QZDASOINIT jobs from *BASE, because this is a
general purpose pool so you will be competing with most jobs for some
memory. You need to setup Expert Cache (Option *CALC on memory pool) to
help your I/O operations and I think you need to validate your
QQRYDEGREE value with DSPSYSVAL and setup correctly when applies.
Maybe you need an specialist to help you with the performance

Hi diego
Thanks for your reply
Sorry but I ask to explain better what you ask :
..(PDI is a good starting point)
What do you mean for ..(PDI is a good starting point) ?
..Are you using *BASE for qzdasoinit jobs?
How can I see if *BASE o not ?
For paging and disk response time I have not checked .. this problem
happened only (for now) on Friday or Saturday a for only 15/20 minutes .
Thanks in advance
