Before I forget - we are on V7r1
We have a file that contains numerous records of phrases we need to
compare to.
A logical over this file uses ALTSEQ(CASETBL) which in the
logical, "converts" mixed case to all upper case
However - this is true for all 3 fields on the record
My question is - is there anything available to convert 1 (or 2) of
the 3 fields to upper case and leave the other field(s) as mixed
case

I am not sure I understand, without an example. But IIRC, there is a field-level keyword NOALTSEQ that overrides the specified [¿file-level or format-level?] keyword ALTSEQ.
