RE: Git - Fatal Error -- MIDRANGE-L

I am such a babe in the woods on this topic. I apologize for that.
I cannot FIND my config file - which may be the root of the entire problem. Check out my reply below to Scott Klement. I have various directories lying around that look like places where Git should find the config data, but I don't see a proper config file anywhere.

Where should it be in the IFS? If it's not there, how do I create it? I feel like I am missing something obvious here.

Haven't run into this personally, but it means it's having some
trouble reading the configuration files (obviously.) Very possibly an
authority problem...

You'll want to verify that the user's home directory exists, and the
user has permissions to create a file in it. Check for a .gitconfig
file in the home directory, and if found, verify that they have
authority to read and change it.
