That workaround should work. As long as you're reasonably confident it
would respect your "ORDER BY" clause.
When doing such work I have found that if you add a primary key constraint
to the table it can help with certain applications.
In your case you could do it on your CREATE TABLE.
When doing something like DSPUSRPRF OUTPUT(*OUTFILE) you can always add
the primary key later with ADDPFCST. I've often done this.
