You could change the default of the CHGPF command to start with a larger number of records. 10000 now a days seems silly. I think we changed ours to 1000000.

Some software packages allow you to specify defaults. When you create a table using LANSA there are overrides to the CHGPF or CREATE TABLE that stay in the repository.

Follow all the recommendations about making a copy of the command, a CL to recreate the CHGCMDDFT after upgrade, etc.

I used the reply list in a CL to add a fixed increment on the file in
QTEMP. I did NOT use NOMAX. Pick a number too small, and the message gets
thrown many times. Too big, and DASD may get eaten. But, since the
message is handled by reply list, it isn't that big of an issue.
