When creating service program, ensure it is created in a named activation
group so any resources tied to the service program is part of the
activation group. Then when you want to "deaactivate", you can do
RCLACTGRP CL command.


Okay, thanks for the tip. However, I won't be able to ensure that service
programs are using named activation groups, in this case.


I do not believe there is a notion of deactivation of service program in
IBM i.



Thanks for the affirmation. It sounds like I'm back to the idea of
"recycling" the NEP if I need to deactivate service programs, which works
for me.
