Yeah, that was actually a POJO in tn5250j that Kenneth Pouncey originally developed and then I pulled it into a servlet. Looking at the email chain it was 8 years ago! Man! Great ideas never die....

I pretty much abandoned it when IBM decided to implement their own web based browser...why fight the big dogs? It is very simple stuff and my goal, after seeing what JSON could do, was to re-engineer the thing to use JSON rather than all the javascripting and parsing logic I started with. 5250 into JSON would be a handy "lingua franca" and it would be a pretty easy thing to do with the tn5250 stuff I already worked on. There just aren't enough hours in the day to implement every idea I have in my head....
