I have a real pain point in my current shop (just over a year now as a
contractor) where I need to submit PMRs but am unable to because ... well,
I'm not really sure. I think I need our shop's IBM customer number for
this, but again, not sure. Through bits and pieces I've picked up in this
mailing list, it seems that our shop can have assign someone to be an IBM
account administrator, who can then set up others in the shop to login to
IBM to submit things like PMRs without exposing the IBM customer number.
The current person who "holds the keys" is so swamped, that some issues
take weeks before they are resolved.

Should the IBM customer number be protected like a social security number?
I think this was a thing 20 years ago or so, last time I managed systems,
but not sure what the rationale behind it was.
