Jack,

I don't think I suggested that you compile it?

I just suggested that there's probably a newer version out there -- I don't know of one, I don't use this tool anymore. Perzl would be a good place to look. Also, I vaguely remember that Zend or someone was distributing ImageMagick with their product. I could be wrong.

Of course, if there isn't another binary distribution, you could try to compile it yourself...

Please understand that the fact that you don't know how to do something does NOT make it my job :-)

Scott: compiling that is out of my league. Where would I get started trying to figure out how to do that?

Hi Scott

Maybe ages ago, but we've been able to take good advantage of your build - thanks for that.

I don't remember if there is a Perzl build - so we went with yours.

Cheers

Not really my implementation, you give me far too much credit!

All I did was compile ImageMagick so you don't have to fool with compiling it in PASE. And... that was AGES ago, I bet there's a newer version available somewhere.

From what I can tell, "convert" is an imagemagick command, not a ghostscript command.

I don't have imagemagick installed, so I'm not much help there.

Thanks for the reply. Here is the command we are using:

/QOpenSys/usr/local/bin/convert -compress none fromfile.png -set -units PixelsPerInch -density 203 tofile.jpg

I'm downloading GIMP to look at the images.
