Good News Everybody!

A new search engine is coming soon.

As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Clarification requested.
You have two disks in the one vios lpar and two disks in the other vios
lpar, right?
And you are mirroring disk 1 of vios 1 to disk 2 of vios 1, and,
disk 1 of vios2 to disk 2 of vios2?

Or, you created one storage pool on vios for IBMiLpar and started that,
then
you created another storage pool on vios for IBMiLpar but this second one
is just for a mirror of the first storage pool?

Never tried mirroring at the storage pool level. Normally I use mirroring
at the vios level because of the small number of disks and RAID 5 or 6 at
the IBM i level. And I use IBM i to host internal disk.

We did try hosting IBM i from internal disks using VIOS. Was a
performance dog!!!! Initialized the whole damn thing and started over -
it was that bad. Hosting IBM i from Vios disk is only recommended for
external storage, such as a SAN.

Your situation may be different though. Maybe you're trying to get two
redundant mirrored Vios lpars going both hosting IBM i and trying to do
that with a minimum number of disk drives figuring they are so darned big
nowadays that it seems like a waste of space for just vios.
