The discussion of changing command defaults often comes up on this list.
And, how to keep track of them after PTF application, etc is also often
covered.
Some people do this by having a program which changes all their command
defaults called by their system start up program.
Some people only run this upon a known change.
Some people tack it on their wall as something to run after certain
maintenance.
Some people track this using some other method.

A <insert term here> may replace all executions of CRTBNDRPG, and other
compile commands, with some custom make command out of fear of being
called a fool by others.

Another alternative is to use a command override exit point to change
this. I don't like that because it makes it harder to override the
default set by the exit point, if needed for some special situation.
