Are you saying the i won't send viruses or it will ?

I think you're trying to say is that if a message is relayed through a protected mail relay it gets scanned, but on an IBMi relay it won't ?

If that's the statement I agree and that's one of many reasons to use a Barracuda or other device.

An usual reason to use a mail relay is to avoid sending virus. I do not think it will happen sending directly from the i.

What I do understand is, that is what you offer and promote. What about
those of us who just want to send email directly from our IBM i
applications? People should know that's built-in to the platform - no
internal, nor 3rd party relay is required.
