My first question would be, "how old is that P05 system?" The second would be, "how much memory is in it?" I see lots of customers in the P05 software tier running more than the 25 user limit being discussed. I rarely see systems in that range CPU bound. Occasionally you will see them IO bound depending on configuration. But 90% of the time, in the customers I see, they don't have enough memory installed and the system is thrashing. I'm no hardware export. I wouldn't even call myself a system operator, but that is what I see in working with customers.

Developers can do crazy things. Most of the time, I suspect the server is running at 1% CPU with 5 concurrent users.
