I know these are being used a lot. You aren't way behind on PTFs are you?
They were delivered as part of DB Group PTF 31 for 7.1, in November of
2014. You wouldn't see anything in SYSROUTINES for them. If the problem
were ICU not installed, I'm pretty sure the function would be found but
fail to run.

To see your current group PTF level, you can run this query. SF99701 is
the DB Group

select * from qsys2.group_ptf_info where ptf_group_name = 'SF99701'

I am trying to use one of the REGEXP_XXX functions in DB2 at IBM i v7.1.
Infocenter says I need International Components for Unicode installed,
that is IBM >i option 39. As far as I can tell it is installed. I see the
QICU library, and Display Installed Licensed products includes that
option.

BUT, SQL reports that it can't find REGEXP_XXX, no matter which one I
use.

AND I can't find them in SYSROUTINES.

Has anyone successfully used these functions, and can help me find the
secret sauce?
