I followed the steps on this link
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=nas8N1021726 and restarted the *admin http server and now all is working. Thank you all for your notes and recommendations.

protocol instead of HTTPs:

HTTPs will be disabled by default. If users require HTTPs, it
