Nice start, but if you're going to provide an example provide a code-complete example with the PDF generation logic as well so someone without experience can adapt your example.

Otherwise it's not very useful when you just show a little RPG logic to process the fields and then call your black box.

Fortunately for me I already know how to write to PDF files, but that's the missing piece in your article for readers.

Part 2 perhaps.
