OS Upgrading Was: V7R1 is not supported anymore (at least for SSL ciphers)

Why are the OS upgrades expensive?
I pay maintenance and IBM doesn't charge me a dime to upgrade.
Granted I can't load 7.3 on a B10 but, then again, I can't load Windows 10
on a dual diskette PC.
Vendor issues? Most of that is because people stopped paying maintenance
to that vendor. Tough luck for the "customers" I say. Sure some vendors
charge a small paperwork fee for the smallest of details. Others do have
a bit of insanity on their charges for changing serial numbers and stuff.
