The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
Both of these errors could appear if there was a partial restore on to the
target system.
In the first case you may need some advised indexes. There have been two
related posts in this list regarding stuff that traditionally ran in 20
minutes now running for a few hours. One by me, and one by Larry Bolhuis.
Query the SYSIDXADV and build those indexes. I believe that some recent
PTF's for 7.3 really hammered that home. I've opened up a ticket but IBM
is sticking to "just build the advised indexes".
In the second case there was an APAR about a JOIN USING in which one of
the files didn't exist at compile time, (perhaps a temp table?), and they
got this issue. However that was for 7.1 and was fixed by a 7.1 PTF.
Then again, neither that ptf nor it's supercede, SI62822, appear in the
7.1 to 7.3 ptf cross reference.

There was a similar situation with UNION's. That PTF, SI42092, does not
appear in the cross reference but it's supercede, SI62820, does.
The lack of the earlier ptf and only the supercede appearing may be
indicative that the problem fixed in the earlier ptf was fixed in the base
os of 7.3 upon release and only some of the additional fixes in the
supercede warranted a PTF being issued for 7.3.
Feel free to open up a ticket with IBM on this.
