Interesting - I tried copy & paste of a PNG file in the IFS of one machine to another - it failed saying I do not have authority to the RST command - which is true.

So it appears that QFileSvr.400 is NOT used for the transfer - it maybe COULD, because I can MKDIR of one system in another and do a CPY.

Either the documentation is wrong, or it refers to something else.

It's in the Getting Started document - there's a link in the Help menu of the main ACS application - for this release - sorry about the wrong number, should have said 1.1.6.1 - it is section 9.12 of the GS page.

Where do you see this about QFileSvr.400? This makes little to no sense
as that is strictly for use between one lpar of IBM i and another.

It'd be really cool to be able to drag from the IFS a spreadsheet or whatever and put it on my desktop - or into Excel itself! Looks like maybe an RFE for this one - unless someone has seen something else - yes, I know I can download from the IFS support - that's not drag-drop! Cheers Vern
