I specify *SYS naming in order to use the library list and still use the
'.' notation for library.file, or as some might write, schema.table

Failing that, I believe you still have to do one of two things:
One: OVRDBF. Yes, this can be put into Run SQL Scripts with the CL
option.
Two: CREATE ALIAS. Look that up. You'll figure that out.

I've gotten out of the habit of using *SYS naming and have gone more to
*SQL naming. Namely because I tend to prefer the dotted naming vs the
slash naming. That, and when you do inter system stuff
systemname.library.table makes more sense. Granted, there are library
list considerations...
