Andy,
Back when I was a MAP for IBM I owned a B10. Loved that
machine. Taught me everything I don't know. I still have
some V3R1 tapes. You're welcome to them for the price of
postage. I don't appear to have the mulic tape, or if I do I
don't seem to see it. Mind you these tapes are circa 1990
(there's 7 of them) and I wouldn't put a lot of faith in them
because of their age. Actually I have 2 sets of them so you
can have both sets for your pain and pleasure.
These are 6150 tapes. Should work in your E10.

Contact me offline at wjrcdh@xxxxxxxxx if you are interested.

Hi - from what I can tell my humble 9404 E10 supports V2R1.1 upwards (so
says this link )

http://4props.ddns.net/iseries/9404%20ibm%20as400%20system%20unit%20model%20exx.htm

My machine does have a tape drive ..... and believe it or not an old
operating system version would be perfect for me :)

Thanks!

Andy

Two things:
One, you have to see what versions of the OS that machine supported. This
chart doesn't go that far back
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=ssm1platformibmi#Additional

Two, you have to find a hoarder who has copies of an OS which will work on
that machine. Judging by that ancient model you shouldn't have to worry
about license keys and stuff. That didn't come out until V5.
However, something is tickling the back of my head about MULIC or Model
Unique Licensed Internal Code.
