I was going to say inform him that it is broke. Note all the things it
will not support. The numerous things lagging in SSL, etc that could get
you dinged if you were a public company and a host of other things.
However, that crowd tends to redefine broke to fit the status quo. "Boss,
I tripped and broke my leg." Boss reply "That's not broke! Walking on
two legs is just trying to take advantage of a new feature. Our
evolutionary ancestors got by without legs for millions of years!" (if you
believe that kind of stuff)
I'm really in the camp that one should lease IBM Power equipment. Makes
upgrading so much easier financially.
