My understanding of this is other technologies have had other avenues to
order PTFs and other fixes outside of Fix Central, whereas the IBM i folks
have been doing it this way for some time. In the end it always winds up
sending the requested files to the server that sends out that message. So,
that message (however clumsy) is meant for the others, not for us.
I'll need some serious correction if I'm wrong on that.

Subject: Fix Central to be discontinued
Fix Central will be discontinued.
They will be replacing it with Fix Central and a host of other methods.
Or are they just so poor at communicating that what they are trying to say
is that ordering PTF's via Fix Central to the FTP server is scheduled to be
discontinued?
