Some sessions or all?

Some. And people who got hit repeatedly yesterday are fine today.

If not all, are they restricted to any particular subnet? IOW, is it just
x.x.Y.x, or is it both x.x.Y.x and x.x.Z.x?

All over; multiple subnets, multiple switches, multiple closets, but not
everyone on any particular switch or closet. It's onesie-twosie now and
again. I've been watching but don't see a pattern in what they're doing
- it's multiple application programs, and in my own case, I was in PASE
starting and stopping the Orion server.

Anything in QSYSOPR, or DSPLOG, around that time (other than "job ended")?

QHST shows
CPF590A Session to device aaaaa ended normally
CPF5140 Session stopped by a request from device aaaaa

Anything in WRKPRB?

Nope.
