May I suggest to the list, to avoid confusion, that we use the name "Access Client Solutions" for the new client, as you list it here.

"iSeries Access" is just one of the names for the fat Windows client, as I recall. I'm running "IBM System i Access for Windows" 7.1 at work - "IBM iSeries Access for Windows"5.3 on my home machine. There's the "iSeries Access" name!

"Client Access" has not been in use since forever, as I recall. Maybe V4R5 was the last of it.

Cheers
Vern

iSeries Access for Windows Support statement from IBM.
It may work for some, but is not supported.

Notice: IBM does not plan to support IBM i Access for Windows on operating systems beyond Windows 8.1. The replacement product is IBM i Access Client Solutions, which includes 5250 emulation, data transfer, printer output, console support, and more. For information regarding IBM i Access Client Solutions, refer to

Subject: Re: i Access Client and latest java

I've seen this mentioned here before (that iSeries Access is not supported on Windows 10). I presume that means the old Client Access application.
I'm curious how it is that it's working for me and the other techs here.
We access remote clients as well and have had no problem, including using the 'receive file from host...' on the Actions menu.

What's different for me?

Best Regards,

Has anyone else experienced any problem with the latest Java version that was released this week running on Windows 10? I have two PCs. One Windows 7 and one Windows 10 both running the latest java version and both running the latest i Access Client. The windows 7 PC works fine the Windows 10 PC does not. The windows 10 PC will show the "Loading..." windows and never leaves that point. I did go to IBM and download Access Client again to be sure I had the most recent build and it did the same.

Thanks
