found an article that talks about ACS' ability to transfer data from the
active spreadsheet instead of having a separately installable plug-in.

Didn't seem to pick up the ending cell in my highlighted range.  And it was
kind of a PITA to have to jump out of Excel to start the data transfer.
Lastly, I had to figure out to invoke the "Actions->Create IBM Database
file" wizard prior to the transfer rather than automatically as part of it.

But the data's on my i, so mission accomplished.
