Good News Everybody!

A new search engine is coming soon.

As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

No it may not. It must be local storage.

So you'd need to do the saves and restores completely on the i and then move the tape or optical volumes off box for storage.

You can READ optical volumes that are on NFS storage.

Can something set up with NFS be the target of a virtual tape image
catalog? I thought I ran into issues. Or was that just with QNTC?

I have a NFS mount on my 'local' machine called /gdihq/tmp
It is mounted over the /tmp directory on GDIHQ.
I can do a WRKLNK '/gdihq/tmp' and see the contents of the /tmp directory
on GDIHQ.

But this fails
CRTIMGCLG IMGCLG(TMP) DIR('/gdihq/tmp') TYPE(*TAP) CRTDIR(*NO)
CPD4F06 Unable to determine absolute path name. Error number 3025
CPFBC02 Image catalog TMP was not created in library QUSRSYS.
