All,

The following does a nice easy job of aggregating my detail lines

select kdivsn, kinvnr
, xmlgroup(ndc as "NDC"
, kqtysh as "TransactionQty"
ORDER BY kinvnr, kinvsq
OPTION row "Line"
root "Lines"
) as dtlxml
from dtlsel
group by kdivsn, kinvnr

However, I'd really like to add an "Number" attribute to the row "Line"
element using the value in column KINVSQ

I doesn't appear that I can do that within the XMLGROUP function.

I'm sure I do it if I used the lower level XMLELEMENT(), XMLATTRIBUTES(),
XMLROW() amd XMLAGG() functions. But that would be considerably messier.

Am I missing something?

Thanks!
Charles
