What are some cases where partitioning the IBM i is most beneficial,
isneeded?
Creating a separate test system is one reason. Another reason
high-availability (HA). Meaning, in our case, we have two boxes and
partitioned them both. The primary production system is on one box and
its HA image on the other box. Then we have our primary developmentwith
(test) system on the opposite box from the primary production system
the development HA image on the primary production box.
