I could accept "conditional compatability".
For example, let's say you were a HA vendor. I could understand them
saying we've been testing IBM i 7.3 and we've got 'classic' stuff working
but please do not try any stuff new to IBM i 7.3 (like temporal tables)
until our next release, which will be out in only x days. I would rather
not have the exception but I could handle that, providing it was only for
brief interval.
