I don't know what they fixed, but breaking FNDSTRPDM is pretty big.
Feels more like a tiny inch forward followed by at least three steps
back.
FWIW, I've never encountered the weird
option-still-remains-after-save-and-exit behavior. And thankfully,
I've also never encountered FNDSTRPDM breakage.
