Thanks Chris

I just read this in the document provided yesterday.

1. If your system uses a keystick, insert it in the key slot.
So I used those terms.
2. Place the system into manual mode by using the system's control panel.

I do not think there is one on the IBMi Power 710 Express.

But when I changed function 2 to be manual = "M" and the function 3 did not become available.

I started thinking there might be one I am not seeing and it was not allowing the change to go through without one.

Wow a key slot. Have not seen one of those in generations of hardware.

Yes you will need a key to make any changes in the control panel.

There was a clip just inside of the front cover to hold a key when not in the slot depending on the hardware model.

Hi All,

I have used the control panel to set function 2 to be "M" for manual.

I was expecting to see function 3 become available once that was completed.

It is not showing function 3 when I use the increment or deincrement buttons to scroll though the available functions.

Question.....the control panel does have a keyslot so is this telling me I need the keystick even though it allowed me to change the function 2 to be set to manual?
