We replace twinax terminals with Linux-based thin clients running 5250 emulation. Not as many points of failure as full PC's.

If the substitute for a dumb terminal is a PC running IBM i Access Client Solutions (under Windows or Linux), doesn't that mean more work administering Windows or Linux on all the client PC's?
And, running Windows / Linux on those PC's adds further points for software failure?
