I'm a little picky when it comes to the IBM i community mistakenly using "PC" as a term for "anything other than the i" because ignorance about the other platforms doesn't serve the IBM i community well.
For example, even Windows developers know that most of the Open Source tools used in Windows environments are themselves ports of applications originally created on Linux or Unix platforms.

Google says look at Ghostscript, but it appears that this is a PC

It's a cross-platform solution. About 9999 times out of 10000, the term "cross-platform" means "originally developed for Unix or Linux, then ported to OS X and Windows, and anyone else is welcome to try to compile the source on whatever cockamamie platform they have".
And so it is with Ghostscript.
Note that porting to PASE is often roughly as easy as porting to OS X or Windows, especially if you're current and have the recent IBM open source bundles.
