A lot later than I thought.

Two token ring adapters come to mind:
2724
2744
I can find this link about the 2744
http://m.ibm.com/http/www-947.ibm.com/systems/support/i/planning/upgrade/futuresftwr.html
PCI cards, February 2007 (updated April/May 2007, April 2008)
IBM plans that the POWER5/POWER5+ based System i models 520, 525, 550,
570, 595 will be the last to support the following older PCI cards. Users
may wish to start moving now to newer technology PCI cards to ease future
system technology adoption. These older adapters/controllers include:

I can't remember if the 2744 was a special token ring card that was mainly
there to support token ring from the FSIOP/IPCS genre of "pc on a card"

I couldn't find anything quite this clear about the 2724.

Looking at this:
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=ssm1platformibmi

I searched for various models and the 2724.
Supported on:
9406-170.

heck with it, I'm going home for Christmas... Happy Holydays.
