The showed up ... Balancing didn't put anything on them. Just letting them sit there didn't result in anything going there either.

I didn't set the disk preference to *SSD on anything. I was hoping these drives would be used for system related temp objects... Job structures, QTEMP etc..

Have done this many times and they work great. Not at all sure what's incorrect with your system to cause it to ignore them. They do in fact show up in the ASP as active drives? Do you have all your files flagged for disk units with numbers below 255 perhaps?
