You can even create your own CL .
It's not so difficult to save to disk (savf) compress with 7zip (compress &
encrypt) and upload with FTP/scp/sftp/ftps .
Usually, compression gain is between 10:1 to 20:1. The more you compress,
more time it takes to process.
Have you checked Commvault Sympana ?

For local storage - there are several FTP solutions.

For offsite storage - depending on the amount of data you have, and the
internet bandwidth, you should go with a mirroring solution like BUS400 as
you then do not need to have any backup window.

Imagine a nightly save of 400GB using a 20MBit LL ;-)

I am looking for alternates to eVault for backing up our iSeries, VM
servers, and Windows servers. What is everyone else using that will back
up the three environments? We require an encrypted local device for speed
with replication to the cloud for offsite storage.
