Different users, should not make a difference.
We have other SFTP apps running with same configs, no issues.

Are you using the same user on both sides ? (Source/Target)

We're NOT using SSH, certificates, and/or keys.
We are using SFTP via PASE, which only uses user and password.

If the remote vendor would allow us to use SSH and keys, I always go that route.
Many vendors refuse to do the setup.

Can you describe your process to create certificates step by step?

Talking about SFTP (not FTPS) , it's a SSH thing, so in most cases you can reach your target server using SSH and test your connection.

1) Create certificate in your local server
2) Send the id_rsa.pub file to the remote server, so you can connect
passwordless
3) On the target, add the content of this file to .ssh/authorized_keys
4) Create your command file. You can use QSH CMD(ECHO 'command >>
commandfile.sftp') or add records to a file and then export to IFS
using something like CPYTOSTMF
5) Execute SFTP commands using PASE. Remember, SFTP doesn't work
properly with QSH

There's a good guide on skott's page http://bit.ly/sftp_scottk

I'm converting an FTP script job to SFTP using PASE.
User, passwords, ip, etc all remain the same, from what the vendor has told us.
I'm receiving the below error message.
No user exists for uid 356
Is there a reason a user would work for FTP and not SFTP.

Thank You
