Configure NIC port -- MIDRANGE-L

I have a POWER7 with a quad port NIC. One is the console port, and two are set up for a Virtual IP line. I've been asked to configure the fourth port. I've never done that before. I checked Info Center, but I must know the proper question to ask. Can someone throw me a bone?
