Check one thing:
In the JDBC settings, on the FORMAT tab, check that you have *SYS and not *SQL naming.

To answer my own question, it is mentioned on DeveloperWorks wiki as a new feature of TR9. We are on TR 8, and although I can see it int the views of SYSTOOLS schema, and installed the latest DB2 group PTF, most prbably it works by installing TR9, right?
