I know what you mean, Buck. I just had no idea how involved drive
replacement might be. At over 100 pounds, even remove and replace is
pretty involved. I would be totally guessing on what else is required, but
imagine power and data cables are the bulk of the issue, aside from finding
and removing/replacing the bolts on the rack. There are people here who
likely could do all of that. There were a number of servers that were
decommissioned. Between 1U and 3U high. They were stacked like cordwood
until they were sent to be destroyed.
