setup FTPS : (FTP over SSL) is very simple

This is what everyone says, but:

1. obtain a certificate (or generate one using DigitalCertificateManager)

You've already lost me. Remember, I asked for something for dummies.
How does one obtain or generate a certificate? What is
DigitalCertificateManager, and how do I get to it or run it?

2. Install the certificate using DCM (http://youras400:2001)

I hope the location of DCM is self-evident to those who have the
proper authorities. When I go to port 2001 of our i, I don't see
anything in IBM Navigator for i called DCM or Digital Certificate
Manager. It could be that my profile does not have visibility to it.
Easy-to-follow instructions for dummies would mention where in
Navigator to navigate to.

3. assign the certificate to FTP client / FTP server using DCM

Again, I hope the steps to assign a certificate to the FTP client are
very obvious once you are in DCM. I can't verify this for myself.

4. done use it ; client FTP RMTSYS(... ) SECCNN(*SSL)

Thanks, that step I can follow.
