There are a lot of objects in http that are locked, log files and the
like. That could be a significant difference. In 7.2 IBM really started
going hog wild on CHGATR to flag many of these with ALWSAV(*NO) for just
this reason.

Gradual changes? That can be tough. Then you start wondering about load
on the system from other jobs and whatnot. For example, HTTP jobs
running. :-)
