Data Studio is not an IBM i client - it is a general DB2 client, although I believe the IBM i DB2 team contributes to it.

So I don't expect to have the Navigator DB stuff show up in DS - there is already a lot in the web navigator, if you have the latest group PTF for HTTP, I believe.

Visual Explain may not be there yet, but things are coming, we are told.

Cheers
Vern

I hope the DB2 functionality goes into IBM data studio instead of the web client. It would be so much faster and more user friendly.

Anyone able to get rid of navigator yet?
Not quite. As has been noted several times on this list, the DB2 functionality isn't in the Web version yet. IBM know that we want this and we've been assured that IBM are working to deliver that functionality by IBMers (here on this list in an unofficial capacity).

I was very skeptical of the Web version until I made a commitment to myself to use it exclusively for two weeks. It's much nicer than I expected.
