I've installed or migrated at least 3 machines with multiple partitions to
v7000 with VIOS (or Dual VIOS). In all cases v7000 replaced all internal
storage (in some cases even VIOS' storage). Not one of those is currently
doing mirroring (but one of them apparently wants to try Global Mirror on
the IBM i LUNs) and they do backups the old way.

Best Regards,

Roberto

I'm just curious.

How many of you are currently managing your IBMi storage on an IBM
Storwize V7000 SAN?

If so, has the V7000 replaced ALL of your system's internal disk,
including Load Source?

Also, have you implemented Metro Mirror or Global Mirror to another V7000
SAN for DR/BU?

Last question, Are you using FlashCopy to create a point in time image of
your data for backing up to tape?

This is what I'm currently setting up in my shop and was wondering if any
of my admin peers have done the same.
